THE "WHY" BEHIND A "RACE TO 500,000 BOOKS"

If a child grows up in a home with 100+ books at home, they have a 90% probability of graduating the ninth grade, compared to 30% in bookless homes.

According to a recent Reading is Fundamental survey, 94% of teachers report their biggest concern is that their students do not have access to print books at home.

67%

Two out of every three children living in poverty have no books to call their own.
